Office of Academic Advising

Pathways Advising

Welcome to Pathways Advising.

Once students have completed all admissions steps, Pathways Advisors are available to assist in navigating the final steps to enrollment.

All new students who have never attended college must meet with a Pathways Advisor to discuss their certificate or degree plan, test results, course selection, and any other academic advising questions. Returning ACC and transfer students are encouraged but not required to meet with a Pathways Advisor.

For general advising questions and registration concerns click here to chat with a member of the advising team or send us an email to advising@rmivsr.com. ACC student email is required.

General Studies Students Mandatory Advising Program (M.A.P)

M.A.P. is a mandatory advising program for General Studies majors who have completed 30 credit hours. Advising sessions will cover Career Information, Degree Completion Planning, and Transfer Information.

Students who have completed 30 credit hours of their General Studies Degree Plan will have a hold placed on their account, and will need to see an advisor for a M.A.P. advising session to have the hold released.

The M.A.P. training can be taken through the SafeCollege website. If you have any questions about the M.A.P. training, please email: counseling@rmivsr.com
